D felony theft charges?

My house was broken into and we caught the person with our items, he claims he did not break into our house but that he purchased the games off of someone..it was clearly him..well he has been in jail since Novemer and no bail. He was arrested a couple months before he broke into my house and he was charged with narcotics. He has a very long record. How much time could he possibly be facing?
