I live in ottawa area and i'm building a new home. Can i leave a bedrock wall exposed in the basement?

My concern is for cold transfering into building through bedrock (granite). I believe if I left it ,it would be a great feature wall. I would have a crawl space on top and a full basement exposed to this bedrock of about 8 foot height.
