What should i do while visiting baton rouge, LA?

My mom and i are going for orientation at LSU on Wed. but we're leaving mon. (6/29) and will have some extra time. we've already seen the capital, uss kidd, the zoo, and blue bayou. is there anything else fun or interesting you can suggest? also looking for good restaurants. how long of a drive to zoo in new orleans? like hour and a half?
