Freedom of expression.. censorship?

The media has all this power. Could their liberal views ever compare to some sort of censorship? I figure not in the technical term, however for example, back when John McCain was in the presidential race, right after Russia invaded Georgia, John McCain was out making MULTIPLE speeches, being active, doing things about this! While the media covered none of this! Could LACK of information of the opposite party be considered censorship?
