Am I still considered an authentic Texan if I think the rodeo is SO boring? I've lived here nearly 20 years?

Texas is a very diverse state, so there's probably lots of people who agree with you. Its big too, if you're in Texarkana you're actually closer to Chicago than to Corpus Christi.
