Who sings the song " Object of my desire " ? I really like this song, but don't know who sings it.

I know there's a version by "Dana Rayne", but the version I'm looking for is from the 80's.... It's the one that's usually played on the radio. Up until now, I hadn't even heard the newer version, which is like alot faster. Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.... thank you so much : )
