How much income tax will my family recieve?

My husband made $16000 last year and paid in about $950 in federal. We will be filing married jointly and have 2 children. I did it on one calculator and it said we would get $7928 and another that said $3800. The first one seemed high and the second seemed too low. Any info appreciated.
